The requirements to our homes are changing. The digital age enters every day life. The target of the project Lowtech for Hightech is to accommodate familiar interior furnishings to their new tasks.
Multimedia mobile phones, ipod, laptops and media centres have become omnipresent objects. Wireless and Bluetooth allow the communication between these components. The demand of electric current, however, remains. The couch table Jack, like the name says, is furnished with receptacles for every kind of unit. The plate of the table is superimposed on rolls and permit comfortable access to the lower level.

Within the framework of the project Lowtech for Hightech we developed in collaboration with the well-known Swiss carpet producer Ruckstuhl the carpet Cablet. The carpet resolves in an unique way the problem of the well known cable salad. Integrated cable ducts allow laying every kind of wire crossing the room. The ducts have a softy foam kern which hapticly corresponds the felt carpet. Walking on the carpet one does not feel the underlying ducts.

The future of mass production is mass customization. Cutting up Knives is a production of selected knives, modified to become bottle openers through the application of an industrial process.
Each bottle opener is individually chosen and cut. Beautiful name brand knives have been ruthlessly transformed, while factory rejects and second hand knives have been recycled, modified to become useful once again. Each Opener is functional and unique piece which is still connected to its own unique history.

Entire interior arrangement for the publishing house “6020 Satdtmagazin” and the publicity agency “Nero”. A range of contemporary, dull black furniture has been developed for these young, upcoming enterprises. This impression is only contrasted with the DIN-size corresponding cardboard boxes of the showcase system. The boxes can be inscribed, painted and exchanged. The stackable showcase system permits individual solutions. The two heights have their related extra functions: as an alone standing element this furniture acts also as a bench; the second height is usable for presentations.

Every candle has its own duration of burning. This is the starting point of our 12 hours Waxwatch. A simple overprint transforms a common candle into a sypathic a discreet time measure tool. Whether you are playing chess or having dinner, time runs decoratively backdrop.

The basic concept is to add value to a low priced piece of furniture by personalising it. A unique, well-fitted pullover transforms a ubiquitous plastic Ikea chair in to a high class product. Each jumper is an individual, made from the ever changing off-cuts of the Milan fashion industry.

Each stool is an individual sketch.
The scribble stool is 'sketched' using 3d painting software, where the lines are transformed into surfaces and then ´printed´ using Selective Laser Sintering to become a solid and completely unique object.

Franco is a variable table system. The legs are externally fixed t o the corners of the table, thus allowing a rectangular table of any proportion.
We offer the system Franco in 3 heights and in the colours white, anthracite and orange. The table top is be made to measure, to fit your individual requirements.

The idea is to extend the regular and well known trestles from the trestle table and making a bench. The seat and backrest you can take off easily and the trestles are folding up.
